Evan Schultz
Prior to joining Ronin Capital Partners, Evan was Vice President at a Michigan-based private equity firm, where he primarily focused on new platform and add-on acquisitions, as well as organic growth initiatives and back-office professionalization. Evan has over a decade of experience investing in and scaling privately held companies in the middle market.
Over the course of his private equity career, Evan led over 15 platform and add-on acquisitions in verticals including industrial distribution, building products and consumer services. From founder liquidity events to corporate carve-outs, he has structured transactions involving senior, unitranche and mezzanine leverage as well as minority equity partners. Evan has helped companies unlock value through add-on acquisitions and other strategic initiatives including new greenfield locations, introducing tangential product lines, expanding international supply chains, implementing self-funded insurance programs, and overseeing ERP system conversions.
Evan began his career as a CPA, providing assurance and tax services for privately held businesses in the middle market before transitioning into investment banking. There, he supported sell-side advisory transactions in addition to underwriting and structuring deals financed by the New Markets Tax Credit program.
Growing up in southeast Michigan, Evan earned a BA in Accounting from Michigan State University. Today, Evan lives in metro Detroit with his dog and enjoys skiing.
